Herman LI Ibanez Clinic!!!
Now the Herman Li clinic has been and gone I just wanted to say it was a great night and I was truly inspired by his amazing performance! Herman is an incredible player and a real nice guy too so thanks for the awesome gig mate!!!!!

The evening was opened by long time Headstock Ibanez and Laney endorsee Steve Smith. Steve’s a Birmingham guy so it was a partisan audience but you have to say Steve is a wonderful player, very articulate and has a sublime note choice. For those of you who do not know his playing and want an audio reference think Andy Timmons meets Paul Gilbert meets Joe Satriani, you get the picture.

Next on was Herman Li. Greeted by whoops and applause the “force behind DragonForce” kicked off with a coupe of songs crammed full of his signature guitar chops and tricks, including a number of dramatic guitar kicks and general whammy bar abuse – one particularly dynamic guitar kick almost ended in Herman’s signature EGEN18 guitar rapping him soundly on the head, had it not been for a particularly fine martial arts inspired block!

Steve Smith will be supporting the Herman LI of Dragon Force at PMT Birmingham on Monday the 26th April 2010 for an evening of shred guitar! Call the store for more details and for tickets.
